The company Hermann Stahlschmidt Stahlges. m.b.h., abbreviated to HERSTA, was founded in Düsseldorf by the brothers Hermann and Walter Stahlschmidt in 1932, and remains to this day a family-owned company. In 1980 HERSTA moved to Willich, near Düsseldorf. At the new location we have not only expanded our premises over the past decades, but have in particular continued to develop our company.
Today, as a specialist for high-quality steel we are an established partner for companies in machine and systems engineering, in the metal removal industry and steel trading – in our region, in Germany, in Europe and globally!
With 60 experienced and highly qualified members of staff we have maintained the lean structures and efficient processes of a medium-sized, family owned company. However, with our stock of approximately 20, 000 t as well as our ultra-modern technical systems and software we have all of the technical capabilities of a large enterprise. With this combination we offer our customers what they value about us: high quality and a wide variety of products combined with diverse processing options, exceptional service and fast response times!
