"Ever smaller product tolerances characterize the development, i.e. for capacitor foils, audio medium films, packaging films, high-end monofilaments, drawn tapes, gas pipes, window profiles, etc. The use of booster pumps is particularly advantageous wherever recycled materials are processed. Extruders are relieved and are therefore subject to less wear-and-tear. Booster pumps offset the impact of various material viscosities. Oerlikon Barmag booster pumps are used in extrusion systems within the plastics-processing industry as well as in polymer plants for throughput increase, metering and compensation of pressure fluctuations. The pumps are available in capacities ranging between 5 and 750 cc/rev."
